Knife River has an immediate opening for a Night Shift Heavy Equipment Operator/Groundsperson in Salem, OR. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Safely operate various types of heavy equipment to include front end loaders, skid steer and water truck - Assist in the yard with maintenance on crusher and wash plant necessary - Responsible for seeing that all safety equipment is in place at all times - Other misc. duties as directed by supervisor - Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes, and behaviors observed Hours: Typically, 6:00pm to 6:00am, but will vary depending on workload Must be able to work overtime & Saturdays if required. Compensation: $24.39-29.10/Hr. Wage includes $2 Swing Shift Differential
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment helpful but not necessary - Basic knowledge of crusher operation, conveyor systems, and maintenance helpful but not necessary - Prefer good mechanical, troubleshooting, and welding/fabrication skills - Need positive attitude and the ability to work well with others and follow directions
