ASPHALT PLANT SCALE/LOADOUT PERSON

We are currently looking for an Asphalt Plant Scale/ Loadout person for the Portland Metro area!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operate truck scales through computer terminal
- Answer telephones and wait on customers
- Assist plant operator as needed
- May need to drive to different jobsites within the day
- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes
and behaviors observed.
- Collect and reconcile daily cash sales
- Communicate with internal and external customers with daily orders and needs
- Track inventories of incoming and outgoing products
- Ability and desire to work in a high-pressure environment
- Other duties assigned as needed

This position will include nights and weekend shifts during the paving season.
This position will include travel between plants as needed by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Aptitude for dealing with customers, sales, and problem solving in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to operate computer terminal and manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Legible handwriting, good organizational, communication, math and writing skills
- Must be people oriented, able to provide exceptional customer service, empathetic and flexible
- Previous scale experience a plus
- Knowledge of market area and previous construction experience helpful
- Must have good math skills and the ability to work with statistical specifications with a high degree of a
accuracy
- Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others
- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers
- Ability and desire to work in a high-pressure environment
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test
