PAVING SUPERINTENDENT

We have an immediate opening for a Paving Superintendent in Beaverton, Oregon!

Hours are typically 60+/week but may vary depending on workload. The candidate must be willing to work weekends and nights.

- Continual expansion of present market base.
- Assist Estimators in project procurement, supervise daily paving operations and administration of construction projects.
- Study and understand plans and specifications related to construction projects.
Understand requirements for each phase of project.
- Effectively communicate with direct personnel and sub-contractors in planning and executing work to prevent delays.
- Effectively communicate with engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve issues and move projects forward.
- Must be adept at creating and following schedules. Adjust to ongoing schedule changes.
- Assist in hiring, training, and progressive discipline, including termination of employees.
- Must be committed to creating and promoting a safe work environment.
- Other duties as directed by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in heavy civil construction industry.
- Computer skills required using Microsoft Office and related software.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards software and AGTEK takeoff software is a plus.
- Must have knowledge of available tools, equipment, methods and materials.
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Supervisory experience.
- Requires a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others.
- Estimating experience helpful.
