Knife River has an excellent opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to support the Trucking Department.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. - Must meet Knife River-South employment standards with regards to background/MVR checks. - Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (daytime/nighttime). - Must have a “safety first” attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required. - Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. - Previous office experience, and/or work experience in the construction industry or in construction materials preferred. - Must have oral, written, organizational, and problem solving abilities with a willingness to take initiative.

- Enter variety of information into various modules of computer systems. - Maintain filing systems. - File records away in alphabetical or numerical order. - Add new material to file records and create new records as necessary. - Use scanners to convert forms, receipts, and reports into electronic format. - Process and scan files to be entered into computer in digital database. - Deliver forms, receipts, and reports via interoffice methods. - Receive and distribute messages. - Receive and enter driver logs. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Timely and regular attendance is an essential requirement. - Must have the ability to multi-task. - Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets. - Must be self-motivated and possess good planning skills.
